Khatru is my 10.5 year old Siberian Husky. He now gets to be with my near 24 hours a day. Up until mid 2007, his alone time was spent in a very large kennel in our home. This was necessary as he suffers from separation anxiety disorder (amongst a few other neurosis). He would eat important papers as well as sleep on my sofa. Khatru actually tried to bury his chew bone in my brand new sofa 3 days after arrival. It wasn’t new after that.

Khatru is a word that means Joy and Light and it is a name that my dog has never failed to live up to. Heart of the Sunrise, well…is there anything more amazing than the heart of a sunrise? So, combine the two…Joy and Light from the Heart of the Sunrise. I can’t think of anything more magical. Both are song titles of the British art rock band YES. Listen to both sets of music…you’ll know exactly what I am talking about.

For those who have gotten to know Khatru since July of 2007, thank you for your kindness to him. He is the bestes dog in the whole wide Universe. Feel free to post your thoughts and meetings with Khatru here. I’ll do what I can to keep up on things in order to keep it fresh.
